History of Freeport 1st Free Methodist Chruch
In 1864, Rev. Benjamin Titus Roberts preached to a group of believers in Freeport, IL. Soon after that, the Free Methodist Church was given birth. (With a circuit in Lena, IL.) Though many changes have taken place, many pastors and laymen have passed through the history of the church, it remains a strong beacon in the community of Freeport.
